What does mascara actually do

OH MY GOD!

It's been a year since I've last blog!

Now I finally know how busy am I during working life.

Let's start on the topic of the day - MASCARA!

This mascara thing pop up in my mind few seconds ago while I was looking at mirror and I've decided to put it to post.

Ever wonder how does a mascara works???

Some said it just make your lashes appear to look longer ( means mascara can do illusion to your eyes?? In reality, they're not long??)

NO LAR! Actually your hair is long, but you couldn't see them with your naked eyes cause the end of the hair is either blonde or too fair... ( really ?? your hair can be half half in colour? half cm is green, half cm is transparent????? ) You must add color to your lashes, only you can see them. Understood bo?

Eh HELLO??!! Y'all just thinking too much... Its just making your lashes thicker dummy! The coating is the reason to visibility, NOT long okay! If your hair is born long then after apply, you can see the length, if your hair is short, no matter how many coat you apply, you can't change the length.

So exactly what's the legit reason behind ??? Our lashes are confirmed long or vary from person? How does a mascara actually work??

After a long struggling with Mr Google, I'll share the research with you after a short story on how mascara is born.

Once upon a time long long time ago (don't know how many thousand of B.C.) somewhere in forest dessert Egypt, the people dip in a mixture of crocodile dung, honey and water with a bone or ivory as an applicator to apply on their eyelashes. Do tell me how does the word "dung" sounds to you? If you're still curious, go Google it. YES, they freaking use their dung! And this is not the worst you've heard from me yet, Egyptian pessary use them as part of a contraceptive device too!!! Thank god for the latest invention of mascara and contraceptives!

After that, the Victorian had it in a pressed cake form (better and improved formula using charcoal and HOLD on the dung!) with a brush and comb applicator. Don't know what's that? Let me show you...

Familiar but never know it was used for that right? Me either. I've always use it for my eyebrows shape and trimming. They still exist but very less appearing in the market now due to inconvenience of the application.

Then the lotion series dropped by. It's filled in a tube-liked container and to be squeezed out on brush like how we apply tooth paste on our toothbrush.

FINALLY, the current mascara invention came in!

Please use them wisely. Why I said that? During the ancient time, Egyptian use mascara and liner to conceal their eyes as they believe their eyes are the window to their soul as evil spirits and bad energy can find their way in through the pair of eyes. If you guys do not use them wisely, you will scare the boys away like the Egyptian scare the bad things away. LOL! I'm not kidding ok!

Anyway, after checking out on all the comments on mascara and photo salvage from Google, what I could conclude is that mascara doesn't provide length, it only provide thick and darker colour to your lashes so that they are visible to be seen.

When lashes are visible, you will start to compare them. Without mascara, you're like not having lashes at all. With mascara, you will FINALLY SEE HAIR!!! The wrong impression given which you think that that tube of 'magic' gives you length!

Hair doesn't have lighter or even blonde till transparent at the end. It's like our normal hair, as they grow, the end of the hair is always sharp and thin, unless you trim them off ( please don't do that, no one does that ). Its so thin that we can't see them properly without a coat of dark colour "paint" or clear mascara to make the hair looked fuller.
