Cetaphil - Review

I’ve been using Cetaphil for quite some time now. Previously I don’t use it because it was soap-less… ok la, if you pump two pumps, and lather up, you might able to see some little tiny (super freaking tinny) bubbles, if your hands are extremely wet, don’t bother to look for the bubbles. The gel melts like hot butter.

My mum has been using for years, and I only use it when my body soap is finished. Basically I felt insecure when I’m using it. NO BUBBLES! So whenever I use it, several pumps were pumped out and my mum was like “you’re literally wasting my stuff”. Damp your body instead of having yourself totally soak and wet, then slowly work it thru. Two pumps should be sufficient unless you have a bigger ‘perimeter’ lar har. I used more than two sometimes, because I love how the gel feeling on my skin.

I used to have snake skin on my legs and arms, but I don’t quite give a damn how my legs are cause I’m not frequently touching them, but I do rub my arms to give some warmth when I’m cold or doing a hard thinking.

*By the way, this is a Cetaphil review, not an advert*

I think it was two weeks ago, when I suddenly rub my arms, the snake skin was no longer there!
I’ve been using essential oil or therapy oil, butter (body butter nah, not the Emborg butter nah), face moisturizer (vomit-blood-expensive brand), coconut oil, lotion (not those cha-pa-lang brand) and none of those bugger works.

Those products are so useless till I felt like skinning myself and allow it regrow! Super agitating, I tell you. One thing I hate about it is that, on my leg, there’s only one part, it never spread. While on my ARM, that thing spread like a virus! It grows from upper to lower arm as I age. I’m not sure is it because of the weather or… CERTAINLY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY AGE!! But I think maybe it’s the weather. I’ve been hot and cold every day when I was staying with my relative for more than two years and place was so easy to catch dust bunny.

So a month ago, I went back to my hometown. And my H2o+ limited edition lavender shower gel was finish *the horror*. So I used my mum’s Cetaphil for a week (more than two consecutive days in my life). It was not comfortable for first timer because you tend to think that it doesn’t clean anything at all. It requires some time for you to get used to it. Mum bought two bottles of 500ml cleanser and I took one back. Been using since then without noticing how my skin change. Oh ya, for girls, you can replace your intimate wash with this ya. Try to stop all sorts of daily panty liners and intimate wash over clean together with stuffy skin can easily cause problem and the OBGyn in ss15 aint cheap at all. RM500 for my visit together with medicine and diagnose.

That day while I was driving, my bloody sister went to turn the air con fan to 4/5! As hot as she still feels (while I’m starting to feel the sudden freeze), I rub my arms. That moment, it was like *OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

You’re kidding me!!!! The years of rough snake skin is gone! Goodness gracious!
Like try to imagine none of those things work but instead, a body bath gel works! Well, not that I don’t use normal bath shampoos but they’re all in gel form too.

So here’s the truth of all, it does work as it says, as in provide softness to the skin. Suitable for all age due to soap and fragrance free. Usually they are meant for sensitive skin people cause there’s a catch : RM89.65 for 500mlX2, Watsons is having sales, so you might able to get around RM79.80 for both. RM59.25 for single 500ml. RM33.5 for 250ml; RM20.95 for 125ml if you want to give a first try. For the 1L bottle, not every pharmacy is selling. I only saw them in both Guardian and Caring. Caring is selling 3 bottles of 1L pack for around RM183 while Guardian sells a 2 bottles of 1L pack only, but the price I’ve forgotten. But overall, Caring is selling the cheapest among all. However, if you want to collect Watsons point, you might want to consider them. Or if you don’t have any Watsons card, you can use your purchase for Bonus Link point collection at Caring.

This is how it looks like in a 3 bottle of 1 litre looks like

So to those sensitive skin freaks, grab the cheapest stock while it still last. Aint cheap to keep your skin hydrated and soft for long term. So save while you can!

Cetaphil also offers a wide range of products which you might be interested in like specialized face wash for oily skin etc etc....

By the way, I've noticed they've recently introduce the baby series and they smell so great! Perhaps I should try them one time too !!! Teehee

Review - Tag La

I’m so getting tired of looking for my sister’s phone, wallet, keys, ANYTHING which CAN GO MISSING! Like dude, how can you look for all of this in a day? Nothing better to do than simply ditching your stuff one side izzit?

There was one day when things got worst. I’m not sure she’s on purpose or what. Both of us enter the basement elevators, I was so exhausted while waiting for the door to open, suddenly I heard a hard “ping” on the floor and it flew straight to the entrance of the elevators. In my head I was literally projecting how I could capture it with my legs while in reality, I’m tired as f**k and can’t move a muscle. Both of us went into slow-motion while staring it as it eventually stops in the middle between the door and elevators – “ting”. It fell into the gap between it. My sister’s reaction was priceless but WAIT! “is that my f**king house keys??” *nod head*. Story cut short, paid 200 bucks to retrieve the keys. Tips: if you drop anything light, high chance it won’t be at the basement.

***

It was one fine day when I was scrolling my news feed and there I saw the cutest thing ever. Something like the Oppo phone accessory device but universal for all Bluetooth 4.0 and above – Tag La. It’s a mini tag which you can connect to it via phone (which comes with Bluetooth function), after the connection, you can hook that tag on your keys, wallet or anything which you think can easily go missing.

For example, if you couldn’t find your keys, use your phone to beeb/light it, likewise for the other way round.

One thing, you need to get the Troika App which you can download from App Store or Play Store. The device only works with the downloaded app ya. And YES, it requires that particular app to function. But don't worry, even my sister's J5 can still fit the app even though her memory is full. It's an app that barely eats your memory! The fun part of it is that you can change your phone ringtone from the list given in the app, so when you tag your phone, you can can hear that ringtone from your phone. However, you can't change the ringtone for your Tag La. The only tone is has is BEEP BEEP.. But that's good enough for me. The sound for both will gradually increase as time passes before you stop the alert, making sure you could find it.

For those of you who loved putting your phone in silent, it works too! HALLELUJAH!!! For some particular nutcase who are slightly or totally blind or deaf (ahem ahem…), from the app, you can check where was the last place it was left. Cool right?

Oh ya, I did mention something about Oppo right? You’ve guess it right! You can even use it for selfie! But Oppo can’t help you find missing items... do they??

passing by the hour

Started a new job recently and the job was slightly a lot easier than what I’ve thought. Compared to a normal monthly account closing, I just need to count and close monthly cost of goods sold. My current company, well, they don’t practice monthly closing due to their nature of business, for example - you don’t always count oxygen tank even though they’re very useful but not that expensive till the extend people will steal them (or does the tank worth more than I thought? Beats me..). So I’m there to count and make sure their stock doesn’t go missing. And cash too. That’s the big picture. For those who understand what I’m saying, you should probably know what kind of position I’m working for.

Anyway, work is easy, simple and straightforward except the part when one or two demon(s) and few bitches tend to block your way. That’s when sadness and anger comes in. Part of a company package. Idly, I wonder why a company has work that way. I mean come on, must there be trolls in an office?

Here am I in the office, bored to death. I’m able to finish all my work very very early and guessed what? After I got my new job which is much 180 degree different, I kind of missed solving accounting equations and double entries. Finding out why it doesn’t freaking tally. For the past two weeks, finally today I get to do what I do best – finding out the discrepancies. Searching high and low instead of just capturing normal data which are all correct!!! How boring is that right? Tell me about it…

Was thinking to myself what kind of post do I close for this year end. A Christmas post? A resolution post? Holiday post?  Anything that is more interesting than these? Any recommendation?
Oh ya, great news for Mr Grey and Ms Anastasia lovers, the second movie is coming out next year! Can’t wait! My spoiler to you is Mrs Robinson will be there!

All about face Cleanser

I remember few years ago when I went to my friend’s usual facial salon for first trial, the beautician told me that all most of the people has combination skin. Dry on the outside and super freaking oily in the inside. In some cases, dry at certain area and oily at certain areas at the same time. Usually people will make a mistake by thinking they are having dry skin or sudden oily skin. How does it work? When you have a dry skin, your skin will generously produce a large amount of natural oil to protect itself from further drying. LOGIC!

If you're still unsure what kind of skin you're having, here's a picture to show you :

But this is what I’m still having now. Years ago it was even worst. I was having the perfect skin till I hit 16 of my age. Man it was terrible. Acne was non-stop toying with my face. That time I was using Clean and Clear, but only for their face wash and pimple gel. Their face wash generated enough but not overload foam, however, it works like a suction to all my oil and sebum. It was able to control the oil level. Good deal for a teenage face cleanser. The part where it gets expensive is when you’re using their pimple gel. Honestly, I’ve used more than five tubes because it really works based on its label. My mum always stocked them up for me before its gone especially the pimple gel. 7.5/10 for Clean and Clear. However, they have improve their formula from then, hence the old packaging are no longer in the market. This is how it looks like on their improved products.

Slowly, I became immune to that brand and I changed to SebaMed. A bit slightly more expensive than Clean and Clear. However, I used two of their cleansers – foam wash and soap. I like their foam wash the most cause it doesn’t dry my skin that much, where else for the soap, it dries, so I only use it during the end of the day. Toner was good, basic. Apparently I didn’t use any moisturizer, cause that time, my head was thinking moisturizer will only make my face oiler! Oh ya, their pimple cream was the best during my teenage cause it's able to cover my redness, that time it's like a teenage concealer for me. hahahaha. 8/10 for SebaMed. A widely regconised brand which doesn't go wrong. Also an improved formula. Can't even find the old packaging pictures anymore.

I got influenced by my ex later on for using The Body Shop. You’d be thinking I used the tea tree series right? Half true, cause I was using two series but the tea tree was after I use their aloe vera series. GOD that series was super delicate. I used a full range though, from face wash to toner (ONLY!! Again!). The aloe vera was able to calm my skin from further irritation. 6/10 for aloe vera series.

After my skin was not so red, I slowly changed to tea tree. I’ve got to say, they own the best tea tree series compared to oxy which my sister was using. The only bottle which I’m still using right now is the essential oil. It works better than Clean and Clear pimple gel, but if you have a budget to cover, Clean and Clear is good enough. Really. 9/10 for tea tree series.

For oxy, I give a 6/10 due to my heavy acne prone skin. But if you're having a light acne, you can give this a try.

But one thing I need to remind you guys, product that suits me might not better suit you or the other way round. Hence, you cannot avoid from trying and testing until you find the right one.

I’m not sure whether is my hormone or all the facial products are unable to put an end to my acnes, so my mum decided to bring me to her salon. The facial products that she was carrying during that period was Sothy’s. Expensive brand.

This is the toner I used if you want to know.

First time ever a person nailed me with a pimple extractor. The feeling was bearable but awful. Bloody hell.

Sothy’s was not a good selection for the salon’s customers apparently, first is the weather in Kota Bharu while second is its content’s richness. Hence, Sothy’s was stopped and Meso was introduce in her salon. Meso better suits my skin compared to all the products I’ve tried. The beautician mentioned that Meso is a brand targeting Asian’s skin although it comes from France. Meso was not widely known in Malaysia compared to all the brands that I’ve mentioned, hence I have to restock while I’m back in KB for holidays. These are all the cleansers I used. I use their full range excluding toner. 9.5/10 for their products.

Good thing never last which I’ve noticed, the beautician stopped her business as she was having a ‘slipped disk’ like my mum.

Then there's the Shu uemura. Great cleanser with makeup remover. You might freaked out on their price but trust me, if you buy a small bottle of salon brand cleanser, adding up will be the same price. So why not you get both cleanser and remover together instead of buying them separately right?

My personal favourite for more than a year...

I do get stubborn skin sometimes, irritating reddening skin when flower pores and dust hit me... so I'll use A/I..

Run around the world with this bottle, no hesitation taken. 9.8/10 for shu shu cleansing oil.

Sometimes you might think cleansing oil might be a little bit to heavy in the morning right, so do I. My solution is milk cleanser. Good products but very rich in content, if your skin are acne prone, you might not want to choose this brand cause it might trigger your acnes to develop. Its either you choose wisely on which series you use or substitute with another brand 8.5/10 for Sothy’s.

For those with sensitive skin, you have to stick to one product for a long term only will you see the results. Best is using cleansers that doesn't produce foam and toner or moisturizer that doesn't sting.

My recommendation, Cetaphil. You may think that Cetaphil is known for body wash, you're super wrong! I use it for body, for face if I'm lazy to take my face wash from the sink (I hate keeping face wash in the shower cause when I'm not bathing, I had to purposely walk into the wet room to get it), and also intimate area!!!! Please stop using intimate wash cause it's not good! I know cause I had infection due to it and it cost me RM500 for my consultation and medication service in the SS15 OBGyn! Oh ya, one thing, Cetaphil has no foam. For first time users, you might not get use to it. Same goes for their price. If you're lucky, you might able to get offer price for RM180+ for 2 litres. Check it out at Caring! I've done my research, their's the chepeast. Then followed by Guardian, then Watsons. I'm not sure AA Pharmacy though, you can give that outlet a try.

97bros bracelet

A month ago it was my boyfriend's birthday and I was seriously out of idea on what to give him. In a year, he gets three presents, each from valentine, birthday to christmas. Yes, he's one lucky bastard. Since our relationship started rolling from year 2011, I think he has more than 15 special gifts from me right now. Well, except for two which he literally "can't find it" instead of admitting he loose it. Bravo!!!

This year's birthday I was like totally blank. I can't think of anything. I don't want to get him another pair of shoes because I know I will be ended up sleeping outside the room if his shoes continues to pile up on the floor (closet was fulled!).

I was scrolling my news feed in facebook one day and I saw LengYein jie sharing a picture of a bracelet that she's wearing. Well well, what do you know... FINALLY! Instead of couple tees suggested by my friend, I could get a couple bracelets! Which is new. I can't bear to wear couple tees out like last time. Like I'm afraid that no one knows that we're a couple. Well, that's old story I would not want to remember.

It took quite long for the bracelets to be made and reach my door before September was gone after I placed my order. First, all of the bracelets are made in Malaysia (Penang to be specified, nice place for beach), Second, they are all made by a number of boys born in year 97 (all of them!!!! I wonder how do they meet, from high school??).

Ok, you might be thinking what does it have to do with the two conditions right? Let me guide you through... Because they are born in year 97, so currently they're all still studying.. in pre-university, and they were having their finals while my purchase was made (bad bad timing).
Well, as much as I want my bracelets to be done and sent at the very next minute, can't means can't. You won't want a handcrafted item goes wrong when you took your official close look at it! However, they did apologised for being late which was very very very considerate of them. =)

The bracelet comes with a gold colour water proof buckle with their ENgraved logo on it, while the rest depends on what colour you've ordered. I've ordered two different NMD inspired bracelets and guess what, it's even awesome than it looks on their website! Great isn't it?! It's very rare that you could get the same as what you see online and get the best out of it.

The material used on the rope are lightweight nylon kernmantle. It's a genuine MIL-SPEC MIL-C-5040 Type III. It has seven to nine inner yarns each made up of three strands. In other words, layman term, they are known as parachute cord, paracord or 550 cord if you may. They are famously used in the suspension lines of parachutes. It can be also act for general use such as securing a tent, securing a splint OR my favourite - tying up my boyfriend like what happened in Fifty Shades Darker. Yummy~ I WAS KIDDING!!!!! Ok lar... in my dream maybe... hahahahahaha!

Ok, let's not go out of line first.. At the end of the rope, they sealed it by melting and surprisingly they're able to make a smooth and perfect closure. No sharp ends at all. You won't get to feel the ends where they cut and tie a new colour (if your bracelet has more than one colour). If you get their royal series (single colour) then you should only have one or two ends of it the most. You'll be fascinated on how great their handiwork are.

Their bracelets comes in 0.25inch different starting from 5.5 to 7.5. However, if you're unsure on how to measure your wrist size, you can check on the steps provided in their website. If you're still unsure or want a custom size for example a bit loosen during wearing, you could request from them because they are all handcrafted from scratch! All of the contacts including whatsapp are listed as well if you have any question. My suggestion would be you measuring your wrist with a MEASURING TAPE, take a picture of it and drop an email to 97bros before proceeding to any purchase. Lesson learned. Don't say I didn't tip you ya.

SOMEWHAT RELATED TO YOUR BROW

Not only people choose the best in mascara and eyeliner.. to me, eyebrow is a MUST before heading out.. without ma eyebrows, I look like a retarded standard six kid!

Here's my review on something I've used and tested.

Before I having my current thick eyebrows, I was having those thin thin snakey eyebrows which was crafted by my beautician during my secondary schools. I was like a... *no words to describe what I looked like*.. Anyhow, I asked my mother one day whether should I continue to have that brow because a lot of plucking and shaving was required to maintain that shape because it was super curvy archy and sharp, she told me I was still young, that style was meant for older woman who has lesser eyebrow hairs. "You're still young, I don't even get it at first like why are you having such brows anyway. Thick eyebrows are so much better looking." THANK YOU MUMMY for letting me know after having such thin eyebrows for so many years.

Ever since, I've started to keep my eyebrow hairs after it started growing back. Because I was still new to makeup and no knowledge on how to best shape my eyebrows, I'd always go to Empro Mid Valley to have their stylish shape for me. Their handwork are the best I've seen.

One must understand that there's no perfect eyebrows, unless your Cara D., even hers are not equally systematic! Just almost 99% to perfect. So, I have a perfect left with a slightly crooked right, a eyebrow pencil is a must purchase!

There are several eyebrow pencil that I've used before and I'll start with the first wand that I started using while waiting for the hairs to grow back.

Its a basic beyond basic. Non waterproof or smudge proof. So you have to be careful with it. Best part is that it can be wash off easily with normal face cleanser, no makeup remover it needed. The pencil was good enough until I met a new love later on.

3D applicator and its waterproof bro! Smudge proof too! And at an very affordable price compared to other high end pencils!!! You can get both of them from SASA. I've heard that Empro Pencils are great as well as they are specialise in eyebrows but before I could reach Empro which is the next store, my luck was there when I walked into SASA for B'liv masks. Ever since, I've been using that cause I'm so lazy to try a new brand and ended up throwing the pencil aside wasting my money. By the way, So Jenn was using it as well, she mentioned in her Vlog that that was the only pencil that is usable for her. LOL. I'm used brown for both CyberColors if you're interested to know.

It came down to one big day when I twist the damn applicator, no lead was coming out... Wait?! WHAT?! FINISH!!!!????? WHAT THE F***???? You've got to be kidding me man! What am I gonna do? How can I work without ma brows and SASA doesn't open till the mall is open weih! It's 830am and I'm still stuck in the jam...WITHOUT an eyebrow pencil!!! T.T

A girl has to has wide imagination... I pulled out my Naked Basics (By the way, they're so great for lifetime save and 24/7 use), pick the dark brown (Faint color) and start drawing! The outcome was unbelievable if you know how to tone it with the lighter brown (Naked 2), too bad I don't own a picture of it. HAHAHA. It's a palette of eye shadows if you're unfamiliar and this is how it looks like.
I was rather busy in getting a pencil replacement cause there's never ending work for accounts. Until I was given the time to get it at the nearest outlet, it was OUT OF STOCK! Best prank I've had in years. First you're out of lead, then you're out of time, after that you're out of stock! What's next, plants decided to stop producing oxygen??

So I went to my trusted cosmetic shop, since they had never failed me before (although I always dropby to get my skincare only). They're quite famous in eyebrow products and styling too, same performance level with Empro I think. Shu eumura is a Japanese brand and pioneer not only for their oil cleansing products but also for their eyebrow hard formula naginata sword shape pencil for ultra precision! But I opt for for the eyebrow ink, because it was waterproof and that was enough said. It comes with a brush applicator which was sufficient for necessary precision. The color I used was honey glaze.

I didn't get the famous hard formula pen cause need to go back to their shop (any branch would do) just to shape the pencil when lead is finish, only the residence stylish knows how to shape them. And if you want hassle free, you could choose the sword pencil which is an auto pencil with provided sharpener in the pencil case cover. Just to warn you, the ingredients are slightly different from the hard formula, that's why they are still producing the traditional naginata pencil. The traditional pencil drawing last longer compared to the new product. If you're an outdoor person and always sweating, you should opt for that instead of the automatic pencil.

Don't worry, they still have the naginata shape like the traditional pencil. Make sure you shape them before it goes blunt for precision.

Last month, Shu eumura was giving a one time complimentary 3D eyebrow shaping to everyone, so I give it a try instead of going back go Empro. The outcome was non bad, the stylish was able to guide me through on what's gonna happen in the next 30 minutes. We had a chat while she was doing her job, she said that the eyebrow ink is instead for a base setting use instead of drawing and I should (in my case) use the hard formula pencil since I know how to draw my brows (eyebrow palette are for beginnings or for someone who prefer softer brows).

So, I've purchased it! Unfortunately, the part where it sucks is the shades doesn't last as long as  CyberColors or their own brow ink! And it smudges when you accidentally wipe it (well, at least it doesn't make a mess around that area because it doesn't stain). But I still like it cause it's easy to remove and the color is so pretty and super godly natural. I'm using seal brown for this cause I have brown hairs and it's super matching. Maybe I'll try their eyebrow manicure on my next purchase to see whether it sets and prevent from smudging. By the way, this pencil only works on your brow cause our face produce a natural oil more compared to our hands, if you were to test on your hand, no color will shades unless your hand is oily.

There was a Black card sales the other day in Sephora and I noticed a few products which is quite good as in waterproof and smudgeproof. They're ka-Brow, goof proof and brow zings. If you want hassle free, get the goof proof cause it's an automatic pencil. ka-Brow comes in a pot with brush applicator while brow zings is like a palette for basic users. Oh ya, I did tried two particular brands before, a no no for Dior snow series eyebrow pencil and also Marc Jacobs Brow Wow defining eyebrow pencil. Hurts like shit and no color was able to shade on my face! Get them when you have the chance!
